Lexington’s Greening of the Thumb continues throughout this week with it’s storefronts donning shamrocks and blanketed in green. On Friday evening they will be hosting their pub crawl. Saturday the village is having their St. Pat’s Day parade downtown which will be followed by an awards ceremony and party at the Old Town Hall Winery. A number of Lexington restaurants will feature Corned Beef and Cabbage dinner all day. At the Van Camp House in Port Sanilac on Saturday evening you can enjoy an Irish dinner that combines the traditional with the unique. On Sunday, Ourselves will be entertaining Port Sanilac with some festive and foot stompin’ music at the Sanilac County Historical Museum Church’s St. Paddy’s Day Party. Port Huron has lots of different things happening to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day this year. On Thursday the Art Of Recovery Celebration is at the CHM building on Electric Avenue. Friday morning the Irish-American Club will be having it’s annual breakfast to benefit the United Way at the FOE. Friday evening it’s the Grand Marshal’s Parade Party at the Port Huron Yacht Club. On Saturday, the St. Patrick’s celebrations really kick into high gear in Port Huron. At 8:30, am it’s the Top O’ The Morning Breakfast at McMorran Place. A $10 donation to benefit the Port Huron Museum gets you a hot breakfast, beverages, music and more. At 9 am the Leprechaun Loop/5K Run and 2K Walk for all ages gets off to a running start down at the YMCa. At 1pm, the Port Huron St. Patty’s Day Pub Crawl starts and runs to 7pm. Purchase your wristbands in advance at any of the participating pubs or the Blue Water Area Convention and Visitors Bureau for $10 ($15 on the day of), hop on the bus and join the party. Party buses will drop-off and pick-up wristband wearers then head to the next pub location for a continuous loop all afternoon and evening.
