Home Invasions – Sheriff Seeking Information

Sheriff Tim Donnellon

The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help following a string of home invasions.  According to Sheriff Tim Donnellon, there have been nine break-ins of houses in the past week in the southern end of the county, including East China, China, Casco and Cottrellville Townships.  “We are asking the public to be vigilant to help bring these criminals to justice,” said Sheriff Donnellon.  “If anyone sees anything unusual in their neighborhood, call the Sheriff’s Office and report it.  Even if it seems minor, please call.  It may be the piece of the puzzle we are looking for.” Citizens are asked if safely possible to provide a license plate of a vehicle and vehicle description or person description.  If you see something unusual, contact (810) 985-8115.  If a break-in is in progress, call 911.  If anyone has any information regarding the home invasions currently being investigated, please contact Detective Stacy Tunich at (810) 987-1729.
