Registration for St. Clair County Community College’s 11th annual Free College Day begins Sunday, March 24. The event will offer more than 150 free classes Saturday, April 13, on the college’s Port Huron campus. The day will include lunch breaks and drop-in activities. SC4 will provide one-hour sessions on a variety of topics, including arts and crafts, business, computers, history, recreation and science. Presenters include SC4 professors and staff and local residents who will volunteer their time to share their expertise with the community. Last year, Free College Day saw more than 1,100 people participate. A complete schedule of classes and online registration will be available beginning Sunday, March 24, atwww.sc4.edu/freecollege. New this year, early registration by telephone will be available from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, March 24, at(810) 989-5822. The normal phone registration will continue during business hours of 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays, beginning Monday, March 25. Registration also will be available by fax at (810) 989-5752. A schedule of classes also will appear as a special insert in the Sunday, March 24, edition of the Times Herald. In addition, the schedule will be available later that week at community locations, such as libraries, in St. Clair County. Registration deadline is Tuesday, April 9. Classes fill fast, so early online registration is recommended. For the best selection, participants are encouraged to register Sunday, March 24.
