Port Huron City Council will hold a special meeting to talk about the city budget beginning at 6:00 p.m. tonight in conference room 408 at the Municipal Office Center, followed by the regular meeting at 7 p.m. in the Public Meeting Room. At 7:00 Council has a number of projects to discuss– some regular maintenance, others updating the city’s recreational facilities – All, in all, more than $100,000 being considered to be put into various projects at the city marinas and community pools. The public will also be able to comment on the proposed master plan for Lakeside Park, which includes improvements to the sidewalks and buildings. Also on the agenda, is a vote by council on whether or not to accept an offer from Amerilodge to purchase the Water Street Marina for $300,000. The purchase agreement calls for Amerilodge to begin work on the site within 90 days of purchase.
