The woman found next to a dumpster at the Goodwill store in Port Huron Township has been positively identified. According to St. Clair County Sheriff, the woman is 89 year old Mary Gertrude Grenia of Salem, Oregon. The woman was found on March 12th by a Goodwill employee who was cleaning the area around the dumpster. According to the St. Clair County Medical Examiner’s Office, the identification was made through x-ray comparison. “Our investigation of this incident led to locating items believed to belong to the deceased woman,” said Sheriff Donnellon. “That information, coupled with a tip from a citizen, led to a request for medical information from Salem. Once that information came, the Medical Examiner was able to make positive ID.” A 49 year old woman from Salem, who is suspected to be involved in the case, is currently in custody in St. Clair County, Illinois. She is expected to be transported back to St. Clair County, Michigan, to face charges sometime next week. The investigation into this incident continues.
