Local residents have an opportunity to visit with state Rep. Dan Lauwers in Algonac and Port Huron Township on Saturday, April 13. Lauwers will be at Johnnie Lega’s Restaurant and Tavern, 9724 Pearl Beach Blvd., in Algonac, from 9 to 10 a.m.; and the Cracker Barrel, 2303 Water St., Port Huron Township, from 11 a.m. to noon. Lauwers says “Meeting informally with local residents is a great way for me to get their thoughts and concerns about issues being discussed at the Capitol.” “People deserve to have a voice in the process, and I encourage anyone living in the 81st District to stop by either location.” Residents can contact Lauwers at (517) 373-1790 for more information. Anyone unable to attend the office hours also can contact the lawmaker’s office. State Rep. Dan Lauwers is a first-term lawmaker representing the 81st House District.
