Jake Williams, certified executive chef, demonstrates healthy cooking techniques to participants during St. Clair County Community College’s 11th annual Free College Day on Saturday, April 13. More than 1,200 people participated in about 160 free classes and drop-in sessions during the event, which was on the college’s Port Huron campus. Class topics included arts and crafts, business, computers, history, recreation and science. Drop-in activities included blood pressure checks and manicures. Presenters included SC4 professors and staff and local residents who volunteered their time to share their expertise with the community.
