A 46-year old Croswell man is in serious condition following an accident that occurred early Sunday morning in Worth Township. According to a press release from the Sanilac County Sheriff’s Office, he was found pinned in the passenger seat of a vehicle on Babcock Road early Sunday. The accident was called into police about 12:14 a.m. Sunday. Rescue crews were able to extract the man from the vehicle and transported him to Port Huron Hospital from which he was then transferred to McClaren Medical Center in Macomb for life-threatening injuries. A 43-year-old Croswell man who was determined to have been the driver of the vehicle was arrested and lodged in Sanilac County Jail according to the press release. Police say they believe the driver lost control vehicle lost while traveling northbound on Babcock Road. The vehicle left the roadway, hit a tree and came to rest in the middle of of the road. Alcohol is believed to have been involved in the accident.
