The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in solving a rash of larcenies in Kimball and Port Huron Townships. According to Sheriff Tim Donnellon, several businesses have had their air conditioning units stolen during the evening and overnight hours over the past two weeks. At this point, no suspect information is available. “We are hoping someone might see something suspicious and call in that information,” said Sheriff Donnellon. “We have had great success in making arrests after getting leads from the citizens of St. Clair County. Sometimes it’s one small piece of information that gets criminals off the streets.” Anyone who has any information on the larcenies, or sees anything suspicious, such as copper tubing or air conditioning units in the back of a pickup, is asked to contact the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office at (810) 987-1733. If you see a larceny in progress, please call 911. Do not try to apprehend the suspect, but get as much information as possible, such as a vehicle description and license plate number.
