The Speedy Q Market on Water Street in Port Huron Township was robbed early Tuesday morning. According to St. Clair County Sheriff Tim Donnellon, a man walked into the store shortly before 3:00 a.m. The man went to the cooler, took out a bottle of pop, came up to the counter and placed the bottle on the counter. When the clerk opened the cash register, the suspect reached over the counter, grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash and ran eastbound out of the store. Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office, an MSP unit and Officers from the Port Huron Police Department checked the area, but were unable to locate the suspect. Nobody was hurt in the incident and no weapon was seen or implied. The suspect is described as a black male, possibly in his 40’s, approximately 5 feet 7 inches, medium build. He was wearing a maroon winter coat with a hood and blue jeans. He also has a cut on his hand.
