The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau is seeking information regarding a house fire in Kenockee Township. According to Sheriff Tim Donnellon, the fire at the residence located in the 7800 block of Beard Road started about 4:20 a.m. on May 2nd. Members of the Kenockee Township Fire Department responded and were assisted by fire departments from Clyde Township, Grant Township and Emmett. Tri-Hospital EMS also assisted at the scene along with deputies from the Sheriff’s Office. The home was completely destroyed. Nobody was injured in the fire. Once the fire was extinguished, members of the St. Clair County Fire Investigation Team conducted an investigation into the blaze and determined the cause of the fire was suspicious in nature. A reward is being offered by the Michigan Arson Prevention Committee for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible.
