St. Clair County Community College’s 89th annual Commencement ceremony Friday, May 10, honored graduating students in numerous associate degree and certificate programs. The event at McMorran Place Main Arena in Port Huron featured Michael Brunner of St. Clair as keynote speaker. Brunner graduated magna cum laude that night with an honors associate in science degree. He plans to transfer to Grand Valley State University to pursue a bachelor’s degree in chemistry in preparation for a career in medicine. SC4 students earned associate degrees in arts, science, general education, engineering, business, and applied arts and science. The college had more than 675 students eligible to graduate. St. Clair County Community College’s 89th annual Commencement ceremony from Friday, May 10, will air on Comcast Cable Channel 12. The ceremony, in its entirety, will show at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday, May 18, and Saturday, May 25, and at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 19, and Sunday, May 26. Comcast Channel 12 is viewable from the Mount Clemens area in northern Macomb County up to Burtchville Township in St. Clair County, and from the Romeo area in Macomb County east to the St. Clair River.
