There is a new home for the former Blue Water Area Convention and Visitors Bureau Office Building. The Saint Clair County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management has moved the over one-thousand square foot building from an area near the former Thomas Edison Inn at the Blue Water Bridge to the Saint Clair County International Airport. Director Jeff Friedland says his office will be using the facility as a training area and intends to open it up for other uses as well. Other outside organizations will be allowed to use the conference room making it a benefit to the entire community. The one-story wood framed building has been placed next to the new Emergency Operations Center (EOC). County officials have been moving offices of emergency management to the new EOC over the last month or so and intend to open the new facility by mid-June.
