The KidSAKE Foundation’s “Chocolate for Chickens” FUNdraiser at Kate’s downtown – 7pm till 9pm Friday May 31st — will feature the musical duo, “Still Running,” the artistic talents of Oscar King as he paints caricatures of patrons, a 50/50 drawing, door prizes, a silent auction with over two dozen items, and – of course – the sale of chocolates! There is no admission fee. The campaign to empower the women (and serve the children) of the Comedor Infantil Soup Kitchen through the sale of chocolate and other items is well under way. Patrons and supporters are invited to stop by and enjoy chocolate wine, Kate’s chocolate cuisine, fair trade chocolates and to hear the success stories, see pictures, and bid on the silent auction items, including: a Wilson ‘hoosier,’ a beautiful antique quilt, decor from award-winning New York Fashion Illustrator, Julie Johnson of Juma Decor, art from Fusions3 – and other items. Donations may also be made at several stores downtown [look for the mini tins and chocolates] – including Wolverine’s, Casey’s, A Little Something, Everything Classic Antiques, Kate’s Downtown, and Art For Good — as well as online at KidSAKE’s webpages: www.
