More than 160 Blue Water Area senior student/athletes will be participating in June in St. Clair County Community College Skippers Senior All-Star events on the court and ball diamond. The volleyball, boys and girls basketball, baseball and softball games, along with a golf invitational, are for recent high school graduates. The first SC4 all-star event will be a volleyball match set for 7 p.m. Monday, June 10, in the Gym on SC4’s Port Huron campus. Area baseball players will take to the diamond at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, at Sanborn Park in Port Huron. Fans will be treated to a nine-inning contest under the lights. Both the volleyball and baseball games are first-time events sponsored by the college. Basketball players will be in the spotlight Friday, June 14, in the SC4 Gym. The girls contest will tip off at 6 p.m. followed by the boys game at 7:30 p.m. The area’s best female softball players will converge on Pine Grove Park in Port Huron for a nine-inning contest at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 18. Wrapping up the all-star events will be a Skippers Golf Invitational on Friday, June 21, at Port Huron Golf Club in Fort Gratiot. Twenty-one players will tee off starting at 8 a.m. for the 18-hole tournament. Admission prices for the volleyball and basketball games will be $4 for adults, $2 for students and seniors age 60 and older, and free for children younger than 8. Donations will be accepted at the baseball and softball games for the game program.
