Medical Examiner Release Cause Of Death Of Mixed Martial Arts Fighter
The St. Clair County Medical Examiners office has determined a cause of death in connection with a Mixed Martial Arts fighter whom died shortly after a match in Port Huron. Police were called to the scene of an organized MMA fight held at the American Legion, 1026 6th Street on April 7, 2013. The deceased, Felix Nchikwo, age 35, collapsed shortly after the fight and was taken to Port HuronHospital for treatment. He died a short time later. An autopsy was conducted by the Medical Examiner’s office and it has been determined that the cause of death was Cardiac Arrhythmic Disorder causing Sudden Cardiac Death.
