38-year old Sara Ylen, of Lexington has been bound over to St. Clair County Circuit Court facing charges of filing a false felony report and tampering with evidence. The woman claimed a man sexually assaulted her, at her home some twelve years ago in 2001. A man was tried and convicted of that crime, and served ten years in prison. He was recently released following a continued investigation which allegedly showed the charges were false and were dropped. Ylen is facing up to 10-years in prison and also faces charges in Sanilac County for fraud, using a computer to commit a crime, and health care fraud. Records say Ylen allegedly stated she had been diagnosed with cancer some eight years ago, but authorities say the physicians identified by her, did not make that diagnosis. Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan investigated after paying nearly $100-thousand in hospice care for the suspect. Ylen faces up to 15-years in prison on those medical fraud charges. Arraignment is expected to take place in the next couple of week in St. Clair County Circuit and a preliminary exam is set for July 9th in Sanilac County District Court.
