Port Huron will have its housing summit community meeting at 7 p.m. June 25 in the St. Clair County Community College Fine Arts Auditorium on the SC4 main campus. The meeting is free and open to the public. Residents are asked to come with ideas and suggestions for improving housing and neighbors in Port Huron. City manager Bruce Brown says he is asking for help in addressing the areas of the city that suffer from blight, the large number of rentals and rising crime. A Housing Summit report will be prepared for the City Council by early fall which is expected to include information presented at this Town Hall Meeting. Each speaker will be given three minutes to present. The session will be corded electronically and by a court stenographer. For more information, call the city manager’s office at (810) 984-9740.
