School may be out for the summer, but students are welcome to visit the school libraries in the three Capac Community School buildings which will be open three days a week through the summer according to Interim Superintendent Charles Smith. Smith says that as of today, the libraries in Capac’s elementary, middle and high schools will be open Mondays, Wednesday, and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., although this Friday, July 5th they will be closed due to the Independence Day holiday. Several computers will be available to the public in each library during those hours as well. Smith said that over the summer children lose some of what they have learned the previous year and they hope that by opening the libraries over the summer families will encourage to students to keep up with their reading. He also stated that the libraries will be open to the community, not just to current Capac students.
