A Kimball Township man who was reported missing was found early Saturday after a five-hour search by St. Clair County Sheriff deputies, U. S. Border Patrol agents, and Kimball Township firefighters. The St. Clair County Sheriff Department stated in a press release, that the search for the missing person began shortly before 7:30 p.m. Friday. It had been reported that the 78-year-old man was seen walking into the woods at Richman and Smiths Creek roads. Members of the sheriff department and the Kimball fire department along with a search dog combed the area, but were not able to find him due to the dense woods and swampy conditions. Reports say the Border Patrol responded with a search dog and a heat-detecting infrared camera. The man was sighted by the camera, and was treated by Tri Hospital EMS and returned to his home.
