The Port Huron City Council has set dates and times to meet to work on the selection and interviewing of candidates for the position of Port Huron City Manager. Council will meet in Conference Room 408 Thurs., July 11, at 6 p.m. in a closed session to review and consider the contents of City Manager applications. A meeting is then set for Saturday, August 3rd at 8 a.m. for City Council to meet in open session to interview the candidates for the position. Current City Manager Bruce Brown will be leaving his position when his contract expires January 31, 2014. He had renewed his contract for one year here in Port Huron with the understanding he would be leaving. Brown plans to move back to western Michigan, where he has family.
