Man Arraigned On Five Charges In Connection With Double Homicide
A 31 year old Port Huron man has been arraigned on Murder charges Tuesday, August 6 stemming from an incident that occurred on July 30, 2013 at approximately 7:35 p.m. The incident began when Port Huron Police Department responded to the 1400 block of Riverview, Port Huron (GratiotVillage) on a complaint of a suspicious incident. Upon entering the scene, officers discovered what appeared to be a homicide. The victims were a male and a female, identified as Daniel Wayne McRoberts, age 29, and Melissa Renee Ichenberg, age 26, both residents of Port Huron. On 08/01/13 members of the Port Huron Police Department/St. Clair County Major Crimes Unit and the Port Huron Police Department Detective Bureau made an arrest regarding the homicide. The suspect, identified as Manuel Francisco Gamez , was arraigned on 5 counts including (2) Counts Open Murder, (2) Counts Torture, (1) Count Criminal Sexual Conduct in the First Degree and Habitual Offender Third Degree. Gamez was held with no bond. A preliminary examination was set for Tuesday, August 20, 2013.
