(Croswell) The person wanted for questioning in a strong arm robbery has been taken into custody. According to St. Clair County Sheriff Tim Donnellon, the suspect, Stephen Stocks was located in the city of Croswell yesterday afternoon by Croswell Police. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Sanilac County Jail. Stocks is suspected in an incident that took place Sunday afternoon outside the Kroger store in Port Huron Township. A 91 year old woman was walking toward her car, when a man, believed to be Stocks, grabbed her purse. The purse had straps over the woman’s shoulder. One strap came off her shoulder. The other broke after the suspect pulled her to the ground and dragged her. The woman’s wallet came out of the purse. The suspect dropped the purse and ran away. Stocks, who was located on Prospect Street in Croswell, will be transported to the St. Clair County Intervention and Detention Center Tuesday. He is expected to face arraignment this week on charges including strong armed robbery.
