The KidSAKE Foundation’s “Picasso Project” early bird tickets are on sale now for the October 5th and 6th performances at McMorran Place Theatre. Save 20% off the $20.00 tickets at the door by getting tickets now at Art For Good, the McMorran Box Office, or Ticket Master.
This amazing performance art piece, with 24 exhibits in four galleries, also brings art to life on the McMorran stage. It is a fundraiser for KidSAKE, and a friendly fundraising competition between local nonprofits as they vie to win the vote for the best exhibit, and share the contributions.
“The Picasso Project” is an unique production with an interactive stage play (“Picasso Becomes You”) and live art that details the life of Pablo Picasso and challenges the preconceived notions of what beauty and art truly are. The production engages over one hundred volunteers and artists in the show and galleries. They will depict many art forms as the art comes to life from Picasso’s expansive catalog of work. Some of Picasso’s contemporaries and traditional artists’ works are featured as well. Building the production also engages hundreds of students and adults throughout the region.
Gallery hours before the performances are 2pm to 4pm Saturday and Sunday, and 6pm to 7:45pm Saturday. Curtain times are 8pm Saturday and 5pm Sunday
