On Friday, September 20th, 2013 Wigs 4 Kids celebrated 10 years of providing hope and healing to Michigan children experiencing hair loss at the organization’s 10th Anniversary Gala, “The Mane Event: It’s All About the Kids.” The children served by Wigs 4 Kids were the stars of this wonderful evening which showcased their unique fashions, artistic and musical talents in a kids’ variety show. Guests also enjoyed dancing, dinner, a sweet treat extravaganza and fabulous raffle prizes. Wigs 4 Kids hosted a pre-gala raffle with a grand prize of $1,000 given out to one lucky winner. Wigs 4 Kids provides wigs and support services to Michigan children experiencing hair loss as a result of cancer treatment, alopecia, trichotillomania and other disorders. The program is available to any child or teen from ages 3 to 18 at no cost to them or their families. “For the third year in a row, we were fortunate to have a sold out crowd of generous guests who attended to celebrate with the kids and raise funds to help us continue our mission,” said Maggie Varney, Founder and CEO of Wigs 4 Kids. “Special thanks to Macomb County Executive, Mark Hackel for being our Keynote Speaker, The Gold Family of American Jewelry & Loan for providing the funds in our money booth the kids enjoyed, and celebrity Steve Wilkos for being a Gold Sponsor of our event! These are just some of the wonderful people who help make our program possible.” To learn more about the mission of Wigs 4 Kids and to make a donation, please visit www.wigs4kids.org or contact Maggie Varney, Founder & CEO at (586) 772-6656 or email@example.com.
