A Grant Township man was arrested after a chase in Sanilac County on Saturday. Reports say a Michigan State Police trooper attempted to pull over the speeding motorcyclist on Galbraith Line Road about 6:15 p.m. Saturday, the motorcycle did not stop, but continued eastbound on Galbraith Line Road from near Fremont Road to Black River Road. The motorcyclist then continued northbound on Black River Road, until a Croswell police officer was able to intercept and stop him at Black River Road and Sheridan Roads. According to a statement by police, the 23-year-old Grant Township man fled police because he knew he had been speeding…he had no warrants, a valid license, and alcohol was not believed to have been a factor. He was taken into custody for reckless driving and fleeing and eluding and was lodged in the Sanilac County Jail.
