St. Clair County Sheriff Tim Donnellon has announced the promotion of Corrections Deputy Marc King to Road Patrol Deputy.  Marc began his career as a Corrections Deputy in March of 2005.  He recently graduated from the Macomb Basic Police Academy.  At the graduation ceremony, Marc was presented with the Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards “Outstanding Performance Award”.  The award, voted on by his class peers, is “For exemplary demonstration of the knowledge, skills and abilities required of an effective police officer during the basic training program.”  “I am extremely proud to welcome Marc to the ranks of Patrol Deputy,” said Sheriff Donnellon.  “Having observed him while he worked in the jail, I am sure he will be outstanding addition to the Road Patrol.”  Marc’s brother Mat is a Road Patrol Sergeant with the department, marking the first time brothers have been part of the Sheriff’s Office Road Patrol, according to Sheriff Donnellon.
