Implications of Declining Water Levels To Be Discussed

Mary Muter, Chair, Great Lakes Section, Sierra Club Ontario will be speaking on  Upper Great Lakes Water Levels – Reasons to support Michigan/Huron water levels gradual restoration. Declining water levels in the Great Lakes have many serious implications for communities throughout the Great Lakes Basin. The International Joint Commission for the Great Lakes for the U.S. and Canada (IJC) is now taking public comment on their report: “International Upper Great Lakes Study” Muter will also be giving  an update on the legal action on shipping nuclear waste.  The event will take place this evening (Tuesday, June 26th)  at 6 p.m. Room 150 MTEC Building, at St. Clair County Community College on the (1st floor right off the main lobby) The event is free and open to the public The IJC will hold hearings in July in the Blue Water area in Sarnia, ON and Grosse Pointe, MI.
