New leadership for local Salvation Army
June 28th, 2012
Three years after arriving in Port Huron from Santiago, Chile, Port Huron Salvation Army Corps Officers, Majors Phil and Sheila Davisson, are once again taking an international flight for a new appointment. Effective July 1, 2012, the Majors will take up a new assignment at Booth University in Winnipeg, Manitoba, a college operated by the Salvation Army in the Canada Territory. The Davissons will be part of the faculty there. Their replacements are coming in from Chicago, following headquarters assignments. Majors Mark and Sandra Turner will report to Port Huron the same day the Davissons leave. The Port Huron Citadel assistant corps officers Lieutenants Sean and Cassondra Grey, also have received a new appointment, and will now be in command of the Owosso, Michigan, Salvation Army operations.
