22 year old Almont Firefighter was injured Thursday night while responding to assist the Berlin Township Fire Department.  According to St. Clair County Sheriff Tim Donnellon, David Gaj was driving a tanker truck eastbound on Almont Road shortly after 8:30 last night.  As he approached Capac Road and tried to turn southbound, he lost control on loose gravel.  The tanker rolled into the ditch and damaged DTE power lines.  Gaj was responding to assist with a brush fire on North Avenue.  He was transported to Lapeer Regional Hospital by Tri-Hospital EMS with non-life threatening injuries.
