Plaque Unveiling At Heritage Park Gave Tribute To Morris Snider

Morris Snider – known as Port Huron’s favorite son, and often referred to as the “Mayor of Huron Avenue” was honored yesterday in Heritage Park in downtown Port Huron with the unveiling of a plaque. Larry Smith of Liggett Communication along with Port Huron’s Mayor Pauline Repp, talked about the good times they shared with Snider over the years, the contributions he made to McMorran as well as to the hockey and ice skating programs in Port Huron. Mike Emerick a nationally known sports commentator and currently the lead announcer for NHL national telecasts on both NBC and NBC Sports sent along a written tribute to his good friend Morris Snider.
