Voter Turnout
August 9th, 2012
It should come as no surprise when elected officials dismiss the complaints of citizens as nothing more than a few naysayers. After an abysmal 15% voter turnout in the city of Port Huron, maybe they are right after all. The numbers tell the whole story. Out of a city of thirty thousand people, thirty-two hundred people voted. In the media we try to make sure that every voice has a chance to be heard. But it is no substitute for voting!
