Gratiot Closed Monday Due To Accident
August 21st, 2012

A 47-year-old Marysville woman was taken to Port Huron Hospital yesterday after she struck a utility pole in a minivan on Gratiot Boulevard in Marysville.  A police officer was reportedly running radar on southbound Gratiot shortly before 5:00 p.m. when traffic began backing up.  The officer followed the line of traffic and found the woman who had crashed into a utility pole unconscious behind the wheel of the minivan. He reported that it appeared the woman had a seizure.  She was transported to Port Huron Hospital with a laceration on her forehead. Southbound Gratiot Boulevard was closed for some time at Ravenswood Road to make repairs to the utility pole.
