Secretary of State SUPER!Center Closed Temporarily
August 30th, 2012

Secretary of State Ruth Johnson

The Secretary of State SUPER!Center at 16 Mile Road and Gratiot Avenue in Clinton Township was closed Tuesday and possibly will remain closed through the end of September due to a broken pipe that left 2 inches of standing water on the office floor.  The break occurred between the close of business Monday and Tuesday morning at the office, 37015 S. Gratiot Ave. A restoration company is on site surveying and mitigating the water damage. The department will update customers about the office’s reopening when more information is available.   Customers who need to renew license plates, renew or replace driver’s licenses and ID cards, change their address or obtain duplicate titles or registrations are encouraged to do the transactions online at www.ExpressSOS.com. Additional services are offered online as well.  Area residents who need Secretary of State services during the restoration period may also visit nearby offices such as:  N. Macomb County PLUS , Sterling Heights  Central Macomb County PLUS.  Customers who need service on Saturday mornings, which the Clinton Township office normally provides, can visit the Oakland County SUPER!Center at 1608 N. Perry St. in Pontiac or the Detroit New Center SUPER!Center at 3046 W. Grand Blvd. in Detroit.   Sign up for the official Secretary of State Twitter feed at www.twitter.com/MichSOS and Facebook updates at www.facebook.com/MichiganSOS.  Customers also may call the Department of State Information Center to speak to a customer-service representative at 888-SOS-MICH (767-6424).
