Thomas Edison Inn Will Close After September 4th
August 31st, 2012

The Thomas Edison Inn, as we know it, is in its final days.  According to current manager of the inn, David Klinsteker, if you want to enjoy a meal or an overnight stay, you need to do it by Tuesday, September 4th.   Sale papers were signed on August 15, and the inn will be under new ownership, and closed to business September 5th, when renovation will begin under the direction of Orion Construction.  When finished, the inn will be transformed into a Hilton Double Tree Hotel, with a Twisted Rooster restaurant.  In the same project, Baker College of Port Huron will be building a culinary institute and St. Clair County will build a convention center.  All parties say this is an exciting wonderful move for our area.
