The “Big Game” Committee sponsored an event for men and boys in 2010, with a football theme that drew 800.    The “Big Game” Committee then sponsored a “Homeplate” outreach for 256 kids to a Tigers baseball game, conference & clinic in 2011.  The Big Game Committee is now sponsoring a third “Get Ready for the Big Game of Life” event on Saturday, September 15th, 2012 at the McMorran Facilities.  Geared to young people and their parents, national youth speaker Joseph Jennings, of Second Chances Ministries, will be the keynote speaker.  He will talk about bullying, substance abuse, peer pressure, etc.  The PHASD is also welcoming Joseph to do school assemblies at each middle school on the 14^th for 6^th- 8^th graders, and he is also speaking at the Juvenile Detention Center.   The Saturday evening event will consist of dinner  and games  in the Pavilion.  Then the group will move to the Theatre where there will be music  videos, and giveaways.  There is no cost to attend.
