A 16-year-old girl was transported  to the hospital following  a one-vehicle crash about 6:30 p.m. Sunday  in the 7700 block of Arnold Road in Ira Township.  Officers say she and another 16-year-old girl were traveling in a pick-up when it lost control and overturned in a ditch.  The girl was trapped in the pick-up for a brief time before she was extricated and taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. St. Clair County Sheriff’s department says it was unclear who was driving, and they believe speed was a factor in the crash.
