Coast Guard Rescues Nine
September 10th, 2012
Nine people were rescued Saturday from a flooding boat on Lake St. Clair by a crew from the U.S. Coast Guard St. Clair Shores station. The Coast Guard received the call about 11:45 a.m. Saturday that a boat was disabled in the lake and needed help. Two other boats were on the scene when the Coast Guard crew arrived and took the nine people aboard their 33-foot rescue craft. Reports say there were no injuries and the disabled boat was towed to a launch site in Macomb County’s Harrison Township, near Mount Clemens.
