One Arrested Following Argument
September 20th, 2012
A 26 year old Port Huron Township man is lodged at the St. Clair County Intervention and Detention Center following an incident at the Port of Call Mobile Home Park on Dove Road Tuesday. According to St. Clair County Sheriff Tim Donnellon, Jamall Stafford had an argument with his girlfriend, then threatened her with a gun shortly before 11:00 a.m. The 32 year old woman was able to get out of the residence and call the Sheriff’s Office. During that time, Stafford left the residence with two of the woman’s children, ages 7 and 8. Stafford went to a neighbor’s house, walked in and threatened the homeowner with the gun. Stafford asked for a ride down by the St. Clair River from the man, who complied. He stated he dropped Stafford and the two children off and immediately called 911. Stafford was arrested without incident a short time later by Sheriff Deputies at North Blvd. and Electric Avenue in Port Huron shortly after noon. Stafford was arraigned yesterday before Judge Cynthia Platzer in Port Huron’s 72nd District Court. He was charged with two counts of felonious assault, home invasion first degree, carrying a concealed weapon and two counts of felony firearms. Bond was set at $100-thousand cash/surety. Stafford’s next court date is scheduled for October 2nd at 1:30 p.m. in District Court.
