St. Clair County Sheriff Looking For Two Men
September 26th, 2012

Sheriff Tim Donnellon

Two area men escaped harm after being held up at gunpoint outside a home on North Bartlett Road in Kimball Township Monday.  According to St. Clair County Sheriff Tim Donnellon, the 34 year old homeowner heard his dogs barking shortly before 11:00 p.m.  When he went outside to investigate, he was confronted by two black males, one with a hood, the other wearing a stocking cap.  The man said one suspect, who was about 6 feet five inches tall had what appeared to be an automatic rifle and ordered him to the ground.  At that point, the other suspect, about 5 feet 10 inches tall was told to tie the homeowner with duct tape.  The homeowner’s friend, a 33 year old man from Port Huron came out, saw what was going on and ran for his car.  He was able to get away and call 911.  The homeowner was also able to escape and call the Sheriff’s Office.  When deputies arrived at the residence, the suspects were gone.  The homeowner had a marijuana caregiver card and was growing marijuana on the property.  He told deputies that several plants had been stolen the night before and the suspects had demanded marijuana from him.  The suspects left without stealing anything from the victims.  The suspects left in what is thought to be a red midsize car.  Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau at (810) 987-1711
