Investigation continues into the death of a 57-year-old man, who it appears died of an accidental drowning.  The Sanilac County Sheriff Department say rescue crews responded to a pond on Moore Road east of Germania Road in Lamotte Township about 7 p.m. Tuesday following a 911 call by a passerby.  Robert Earl Baer was removed from the pond and pronounced dead at the scene.  An autopsy was to take place yesterday afternoon, however authorities say that initial investigation is consistent with an accidental drowning.  Alcohol is believed to be a factor.
