Port Huron Town Hall Kicks Off Today

Port Huron Town Hall kicks off its 57th season today, with the appearance of guest speaker, Chef Roland Mesnier.   The former Executive Pastry Chef of the White House, Chef Mesnier was hired by First Lady Rosalyn Carter and remained in the position for 25 years.  Creating thousands of delicious desserts for presidents and their families, he never made the same dish twice.  Chef Mesnier founded the professional pastry program, L’Académie de Cuisine, in Bethesda, Maryland, and is also the honorary president of the World Cup of Pastry.  The four time author has penned Dessert University, Basic to Beautiful Cakes, All the Presidents Pastries, and A Sweet World of White House Desserts.   Port Huron Town Hall’s 2012-2013 series will also include appearances by Nicholas Sparks, Forbidden Broadway, Joan Collins and Ronnie Milsap.  Tickets may be purchased at McMorran Auditorium.  More information can be found on the PHTH website, www.porthurontownhall.com.
