
Tim Skubick To Speak At SC4

Longtime political news reporter Tim Skubick will present an insider’s look at the upcoming election Monday, Oct. 22, at St. Clair County Community College in Port Huron. The event, “The Election Year: Really Off the Record with Senior Capitol Correspondent Tim Skubick,” will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in SC4’s Fine Arts Theatre on the college’s Port Huron campus. This is a return engagement for Skubick, who was in Port Huron two years ago. Skubick will discuss the presidential contest in Michigan, the ballot proposals and the House and congressional elections. Skubick has covered Michigan government and politics for 42 years, making him the longest-serving member of the capitol press corps in state history. He anchors the weekly public television series Off the Record and covers the capitol for WJBK-TV2 and WWJ Newsradio 950 in Detroit. Skubick has authored two books. He has received four Emmys and has been inducted into the Michigan Journalism Hall of Fame and Michigan Broadcasting Hall of Fame. Skubick holds bachelor of arts and master of arts degrees from Michigan State University.
