
SC4 Foundation Board Of Directors Appoints New Members

The SC4 Foundation Board of Directors appointed two new members during its annual meeting Tuesday, Oct. 9. Appointed to three-year terms were Jody K. Skonieczny of China Township and Mary K. Whaling of Port Huron. Officers elected to two-year terms were President Karl S. Tomion of Port Huron and Vice President/Treasurer Christine M. Newberry of China Township. Re-elected was Secretary Kathleen M. Smith of Fort Gratiot.
Several board members received service awards during the meeting:
- Bethany A. Belanger of Port Huron — Five years
- Joseph M. Mericka of Port Huron Township — Five years
- Dr. Ralph M. Gillhooley of Port Huron — 15 years
- Mary J. Brooks of Port Huron — 15 years
- Robert E. Moak of Fort Gratiot — 25 years
As of June 30, the SC4 Foundation had $5,129,630 in total assets. The foundation was chartered in 1963 by a group of visionary business and community leaders as a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting St. Clair County Community College in developing its educational programs and expanding its facilities.
