It's A Red Carpet Affair
October 25th, 2012
Tickets are on sale for the SC4 Foundation’s ninth Red Carpet Affair at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, in the College Center on SC4’s Port Huron campus. Each year, the formal gala raises money to support St. Clair County Community College. Proceeds from this year’s event will support visual and performing arts student scholarships and expansion of SC4’s Natural Science Museum in conjunction with the college’s on-going “All Aboard: Campaign for Talent, Technology and Tomorrow” fundraising campaign. The gala will feature 20 area establishments offering specialty food items. Dancing music will be provided by the Charlie Stephens Band. The theme of this year’s event is “Cirque du Soleil on the Red Carpet,” featuring an extravaganza of performers. Among performers will be three local singers. Guests will be encouraged to “vote” with monetary pledges for their favorite singer. Each singer has a “talent agent,” who will be helping them to raise money for the event.
The singers are:
- Ally Evenson of Fort Gratiot, sponsored by Lawrence Jewelers. Evenson’s talent agents are her parents, Ty and Janine Evenson.
- Emily Daum of Wales Township, sponsored by Mosher’s Jewelers. Guzzo’s talent agent is John D. Adair, chair of the SC4 Board of Trustees.
- Kaylee Kean of Emmett Township, sponsored by Alexander Fine Jewelers. Kean’s talent agent is David Goetze, SC4 director of college advancement and alumni relations.
A complimentary welcome beverage will be provided by Wolverine Market, and a specialty cocktail will be provided by Vintage Tavern. Decor coordination will be by Christopher’s Flowers, and valet parking will be by the SC4 Athletic Department. Men’s formal wear for doormen will be provided by Men’s Wearhouse. Event tickets are $75 per person. Tickets are available online by visiting www.sc4.edu/redcarpet. Tickets also are available by calling (810) 989-5760 or emailing advancement@sc4.edu.
