Sanilac Sheriff Gary Binecki

Investigation continues into a rollover crash in Maple Valley Township that left three people injured.  Reports say Sanilac County Central Dispatch received a 911 call shortly before 3:30 p.m. Monday regard the crash.  Sanilac County Sheriff Gary Binecki says that 18 year old Michael Kinney, of Brown City was going north on Baily Road when he lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle left the roadway, entered a ditch and overturned.  He was ejected from the vehicle, treated by Marlette EMS and airlifted from the scene to Covenant HealthCare in Saginaw for treatment of serious injuries.  Two passengers were transported to Marlette Regional Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Police believe none of the people in the vehicle were wearing seat belts.  Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
