Deer Hunting In Michigan
November 16th, 2012
Yesterday saw the opening of Michigan’s 16-day firearm deer season which runs through November 30. One death has been attributed to opening day; a hunter apparently asphyxiated by fumes from a propane heater he was using to heat his van in Mason County was found dead Thursday morning. According to the Ludington Daily News the victim was a 54-year-old Zeeland man. According to reports, hunters in the southern part of the Lower Peninsula of Michigan are seeing restrictions on the number of deer permits that are being allowed on antlerless deer due to an insect-spread deer disease.
