SCC Sheriff's Office Seeking Help
December 5th, 2012

Sheriff Tim Donnellon

The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in solving three home invasions that have taken place in the southern end of the county since November 16th.  According to Sheriff Tim Donnellon, all the break-ins occurred during the daytime.  On November 16th, a home was broken into in the 1200 block of North River Road in St. Clair Township.  The other home invasions took place on November 29th in the 6800 block of Fred Moore Highway in China Township and on December 3rd on Meisner Road in East China Township.  “We are looking for help in solving this rash of break-ins and possibly prevent more from occurring,” said Sheriff Donnellon.  “We are asking that residents be vigilant in observing any unusual occurrences in their neighborhood.  If you see a car or a person that don’t appear to belong around a building or vehicle, contact the Sheriff’s Office.  If we respond and there is no problem, that’s fine, but we have solved a number of break-ins after getting a tip that led to the arrest and conviction of the criminals.”  Sheriff Donnellon is asking anyone that may have observed something unusual in the areas of the break-ins to contact Detective Stacy Tunich at (810) 987-1729.
