Jury Says Ingram Guilty
December 6th, 2012
A verdict of guilty in the first-degree for premeditated murder and guilty of felony firearm against Cidney Ingram was brought by the jury yesterday . The murder case continued Wednesday, with the jury coming back with their decision about 11:30 yesterday. Ingram was found guilty in the June 15 fatal shooting of 23-year-old Jason Williams in Port Huron. Ingram testified on his own behalf, saying the incident occurred in self-defense. The jury did not agree. A co-defendant in the case, John Little, pleaded guilty before Ingram trial began, to charges of tampering with evidence, accessory after the fact to murder and possession of a firearm by a felon. His habitual fourth offender status was reduced to a habitual third status. Cidney Ingram could be facing life in prison without parole. Sentencing will take place in Judge Cynthia Lane’s courtroom on January 17th.
