Wigs 4 Kids has been honored with a prestigious 2012 Top-Rated Award by GreatNonprofits, the leading provider of user reviews about nonprofit organizations.  Wigs 4 Kids provides wigs and support services to Michigan children experiencing hair loss as a result of illness and treatment. The program is available to any child or teen between the ages of 3 through 18 at no cost to them or their families. The award was based on the large number of positive reviews that Wigs 4 Kids received from volunteers, donors and clients. People posted their personal experience with the nonprofit.  For example, one person wrote, “My 14 year old daughter was diagnosed with cancer this year and it completely turned our life upside down. Throughout this terrible diagnosis and treatment we have been blessed with amazing things to help us get through this time. Wigs 4 Kids is one of those blessings! Hair is so important to our children’s self esteem and socialization.”  Being on the Top-Rated List comes at an important time of the year, as donors look for causes to support during the holiday season. Varney agrees. “Wigs 4 Kids is fortunate to have the support of a generous sponsor for the month of December. For every $1 you donate, our sponsor will double your contribution up to $10,000. Donate $10 and their $20 will make your gift $30…and so on. We have until December 31st to reach our goal.”
